The Kirby Morgan® Diamond Is The Next Modular Variation To The KMDSI Stainless Steel Helmet. When The KM Diamond Is Attached To Our Stainless Steel Helmet Shell The Diver Can Operate In Either A Surface Exhaust Or Ambient Water Exhaust Diving Mode.
Before the diver enters the water, with a simple two-step process, they have the opportunity to switch the helmet into surface vent mode where their exhaled gas is sent to the surface and not into the surrounding water where they are working. On the surface the exhaled gas can be sent to a reclaim system or simply secured on an open deck to vent into the atmosphere. The KM Diamond can be also operated in the open circuit mode for the entire dive.
The advantages of this stainless steel helmet include the following:
– Rugged helmet shell and other components
– No refinishing required if the surface is scratched or gouged
– Elimination of threaded inserts for securing port retainer to helmet shell

Air Train
The air train diffuses incoming breathing air/gas onto the face port/lens to defog and ventilate.
|
Defogging Steady Flow Valve
Provides an additional flow of gas into the helmet for ventilation and defogging.
|
Emergency (EGS) Valve
Emergency (EGS) Valve supplies backup breathing gas to the diver. This valve is an integral, built in part of the stainless steel sideblock.
|
Bypass Equalizer Tube
This system stabilizes the supply regulator, creates a protective bubble layer to the exposed valve and deflects exhaust bubbles from the diver’s field of view when operating in open circuit mode.
|
Gas Supply Non-Return Valve
Commercial Rated™, It prevents loss of gas pressure in the event of umbilical damage.
|
Nose Block Device
Nose Block Device allows the diver to block the nose to equalize ears.
|
Diamond Exhaust Assembly
Two stage regulator that controls and routs the exhaled gas. Rapid removal and replacement is possible with clear access to all fasteners.
|
Rapid Change Modular Communications Systems
Because the module is easily removed the helmet, repair or replacement of communications parts is quick and trouble free. It is available with either a male waterproof connector or a bare wire post connection.
|
Stainless Steel Shell
Each 316 stainless steel shell is precision CNC machined to tight tolerances, to ensure proper fit to all other mating parts. The shell is durable and easy to maintain. Easily cleaned using a Scotch Brite® or similar type cleaning pad.
|
Side Block
Multi use side block has additional ports built in to provide controlled air flow, if needed. The stainless steel sideblock has a built in EGS.
|
Overpressure Relief Valve
Automatically activates if internal helmet pressure becomes too great. Can also be manually adjusted to improve breathing when operating in the open circuit mode or it can act as a standalone feature to dump exhaled gas directly into the surrounding water.
|
Handle
Removable Grip and handle. Handle can be removed without breaking seals, making it quick and easy to attach accessories.
|
Surface Bypass Valve
Effortlessly switch from surface vent, (or reclaim), to standard open circuit diving mode. Switching back and forth from diving modes is instant with a single action.
|
Water Purge Assembly
Positive shut off valve is spring loaded. Internal pick up tube reduces chance of exposure and increases effectiveness in dewatering the helmet.
